What’s the difference between an executive retreat and a regular company offsite?
An executive retreat is focused specifically on bringing together the main stakeholders and decisions maker within an organization where as a company offsite is focused on bringing together the whole organization.
What should the agenda for an executive retreat include?
While building the agenda for your exectuive retreat, focus entirely on the Vision, Goals and Budget. Ask yourself first, “How do I want people to be thinking and feeling when they are on their way home?”
How far in advance should we start planning our executive retreat?
Based on planning over 300 leadership offsites and executive retreats per year, we recommend planning at least 3 months in advance.
How do you balance strategy sessions with downtime and team bonding?
For a leadership offsite, we tend to see more work and strategy time and less downtime than at all-hands offsites. We recommend 1-2 days of deep work with your leadership team and one full-day of a team bonding experience.
